Our Musculoskeletal Imaging Unit is a highly specialized unit led by expert specialized radiologists. Our unit responsible for diagnosis of all musculoskeletal diseases affecting the whole skeleton including spine disease, all joints and muscles. Different Radiological modalities are used in our unite including Digital plain X-Ray, Sonography, Fistulography, Ultrasound, Computed Tomography, PET scan & Magnetic Resonance Imaging with recent pulse sequences like Diffusion Tensor Imaging & Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy. Intervention techniques are also used in our unite to add for diagnostic accuracy like bone & muscle lesions biopsy using Fine needle or True cut needles. Biopsy can be done guided by ultrasound or Computed Tomography. Musculoskeletal lesions radiofrequency ablation also done in our unite for some lesions like osteoid osteoma and Osteoblastoma (which is curative). Trans-arterial Catheter Embolization also done for aggressive and malignant musculoskeletal lesions like GCT & sarcomas (which decrease lesion growth & reduce its size).
